Advances in technology keep putting online retailers another step closer to bridging the gap between the offline and online shopping experience, whether at home or on the go. To help shoppers find what they are looking for while increasing time spent on site, PureShopping.com uses visual search technology to create a more effective and engaging browsing experience.

At Internet Retailing 2009 Fabrice Berger-Duquene will illustrate how the fashion and home décor shopping engine uses features such as similarity and colour search and will then go on to provide insight into how the same image recognition technology can drive synergy between offline and online retail by linking the ‘real world’ to the digital world through images taken with a mobile device.

Internet Retailing 2009 takes place on Tuesday 13 October at the Novotel in Hammersmith, west London. The full conference agenda, along with speaker profiles, is now available online. Conference delegate and exhibition visitor registration is also now open.
