With the catalogue retailer having set a new record after logging more than 70,000 customer contributed product reviews in a single day, David Tarbuck is well positioned to explain how Argos, which notched up internet sales of £1.1bn last year, uses customer comments from its ratings and reviews to measure and exceed expectations in service and product development across all channels.
David Tarbuck heads up the multi-channel programme and operations team for Argos, where he is responsible for the development and operation of Argos.co.uk and Argos.ie as well as the ‘ring and reserve’ and ‘text and take home’ reservation channels. He has been with Argos for more than ten years and has seen the company transition from its original catalogue and stores model to become the UK’s leading multi-channel retailer.
David’s presentation, ‘Feeding back the customers’ views’, can be seen from 14:30 to 15:00 in the conference’s ‘Cross channel’ stream.
• Internet Retailing 2009 takes place on Tuesday 13 October at the Novotel in Hammersmith, west London. The full conference agenda, along with speaker profiles, is now available online. Conference delegate and exhibition visitor registration is also now open.
