More than 5,000 visitors from more than 60 countries are expected at Screen Media Expo Europe 2010, to be held in London’s Earls Court on May 5 and 6.

This year’s event has a special focus on integrating mobile into digital signage campaigns. A Digital-out-of-Home showcase is running as a show-within-a-show.

As well as providing a networking forum and an exhibition featuring more than 130 exhibitors, there will also be a two-day learning programme.

Day one of the programme will focus on content development and delivery, marketing and media, and the operations, processes and products required in managing screen media networks.

Day two will look at future developments in screen media as well in mobile.

Workshops include the Dynamic Retailing Workshop, where retailers, advertising professionals, network operators and technology companies can find out more about what digital signage can do for their business.

Mike Hiatt, of Dynamic Retailing, and Bill McMullen of Studio Squared, will be the speakers at the event, which runs from 9.30am to 12 noon on May 6, the second day of the expo.

They will investigate issues including the use of mobile phone technology within the store, promotion of brands within the store, and ways of using customer-centric technologies in a digital signage network.
