Household and commercial appliances brand Miele has appointed two-person home delivery specialist ArrowXL to handle more than 2,500 consumer home deliveries each month across the UK.
Customers are able to use the 24-hour delivery service to nominate their delivery day. The ArrowXL service also includes an unpack and position feature, where the delivery team disconnect old appliances and connect the new ones as well as removing and recycling all unwanted packaging.
Customer orders are collected from Miele’s Abingdon DC and transferred to ArrowXL depots where they are then delivered to customers on their chosen day. The askAXL tracking web-app will allow customers to track their orders in real time as their 2-hour time slot dynamically reduces to 30 minutes. It also allows them full visibility of their delivery as it works its way through the ArrowXL network. On the day of delivery they can track the vehicle containing their parcel using the interactive map.
David Pearce, UK supply chain manager at Miele, said the service was already providing popular with customers. “The customer feedback so far has been excellent, even when the delivery has not been straightforward the crews have provided amazing customer service, quick resolutions and proactively managed any issues.”
