Nearly four months after the April cyber attack that crippled its business, M&S has finally resumed its click and collect service. Online ordering on both the company’s website and mobile app, home deliveries and its click and collect service were all suspended on 25 April.
Although M&S managed to resume its online order and delivery service after six weeks on 10 June, the click and collect service took far longer to restore.
The attack devastated the retailer, with M&S’ chairman Archie Norman reported as saying it was “traumatic” and that the company would be in a rebuild phase for some time. The company has already warned of a £300m impact on profits as a result of the attack.
Customers have been advised to be vigilant about any emails or contact they receive that claims to be from M&S since customer data was also stolen in the attack.
