Parcel delivery comparison website My Parcel Delivery has reported a 69% increase in gross profit and 58% rise in revenues, for the last quarter of 2014. This followed a 95% increase in sales for the year ending September 2014.
David Grimes, managing director of My Parcel Delivery, said: “We’re really proud of our Q4 figures which not only reflect the busy festive period but also the fact that ecommerce companies and consumers want choice, reliability and value when it comes to planning their deliveries.”
The Salford-based company, which was launched in 2010, cited “unprecedented uplift in web sales around Black Friday, Cyber Monday and general Christmas online purchases” as a major contributor to its strong end to last year. The company also saw a 47% increase in deliveries booked through its online platform, compared to Q4 2013.
My Parcel Delivery works with DPD, DX, Hermes, Parcelforce and Yodel, among others. Last year it secured an investment of £1.5 million from Praetura Capital and Seneca Partners.
