Ocado launches one-hour delivery service

Ocado has launched a one-hour delivery service in London.
Launched in partnership with last mile specialist Stuart, Zoom will allow customers to choose from 10,000 products to receive within an hour or later the same day.

The service is available for orders of over £15 or over, with delivery charges specified at checkout.

Slots are subject to availability and orders cannot be placed for outside the opening hours of the Ocado Zoom fulfilment centre.

Zoom was touted in an announcement following the company’s financial results back in February.

At the end of February Ocado created a delivery joint venture with Marks & Spencer.

US supermarket giant Kroger recently announced two new sites where it will use Ocado’s distribution centre platform out of a planned 20.

Earlier in February, a fire started at Ocado’s distribution centre in Andover.
