Kingfisher has revealed that its Screwfix Sprint 60-minute home delivery service is now available to 40% of the UK population and offers an average delivery time of 45 minutes.
The service officially launched last August following a trial across Bristol. It has proved particularly popular with tradespeople since it enables them to get products they needed delivered directly to where they are doing the job, without having to leave to collect orders themselves.
Screwfix announced in August that more than 30 cities in the UK would offer the Screwfix Sprint service by November, including London, Birmingham and Glasgow. Rollout has continued since.
Screwfix Sprint service costs £5 and is available through the Screwfix app. Screwfix also offers a hugely popular one-minute click and collect service.
The update came in Kingfisher’s Q1 trading update to 30 April 2022, revealed this week. Kingfisher also revealed in its update that thanks to careful management of inflationary and supply chain pressures product availability is now very close to ‘normal’ levels across all its banners.
