ScS has appointed Swarupa Pathakji as a non-executive director and a member of its audit, remuneration and nomination committee.
Pathakji is due to take up her position at the furniture and flooring retailer on 2 May 2023.
Commenting on her appointment, Pathakji said she is “pleased to be joining SCS at an exciting time for the business“.
“I have been impressed with the strength of the board and the management team and I look forward to working with them to achieve their plans for the future,” she said.

Pathakji has over 20 years of experience in multiple sectors, having worked at Merrill Lynch and more recently at Duke Street.
Pathakji is currently a director of Kings Yard Arms, where she is chair of the nomination and remuneration committees and serves as a member of the audit and risk committee. She is also a non-executive director of The Original Factory shop where she chairs the audit committee.
