In today’s InternetRetailing newsletter, we report on the latest results from Ocado, which saw sales and profits rise in the first half of its financial year. Notably its partnership with Morrisons contributed £20m to sales.

We also have news of an interesting move from Marks & Spencer, which makes multichannel director Laura Wade-Gery responsible for its UK stores.

One theme running through today’s stories is that of personalisation: Haven Holidays reports an uptick in bookings following its use of personalisation technology, while Boots UK has unveiled an app designed to deliver personalised offers to its Advantage Card holders.

Today we also report on research from Ampersand Commerce, on how one in three UK online retailers still don’t offer customers their favoured delivery option, and we also have news of iForce, which has made the latest version of its in-house delivery management software commercially available.

Finally, we have news that the joint winners of the Internet Retailing Awards 2014 #DressipiStyle competition, held last Thursday, were Angela Maurer and Jennie Saywell from Tesco, who each get £75 of Dressipi vouchers for their ‘subtle evening shimmer with low-key metallics’.

Check out our awards gallery for fabulous photos of the night.
