Hosting provider UKFast has launched UKFastTrack, a competition aimed at finding ten top new online business projects who will be provided with a £15,000 package of prizes that will be used to take the projects from concept to commercial launch.
The prizes include provision of web design, development and marketing consultancy services and will include use of UK Fast’s new SEO Server, a specially configured and ‘lightened’ web server designed to deliver pages as fast as possible. Page load speed is known to be a factor in Google’s quality scoring system, so the company points out that using an SEO Server should lead to lower prices and better positioning for Adwords campaigns.
“Rapid loading websites deliver happy customers and high Google rankings, which added together equal a growing, profitable business,” says UK Fast. “The UKFast SEO Server is designed to be a speed machine, delivering exactly what web companies need with no unnecessary extra weight.”
Anyone wishing to enter the UKFastTrack competition can apply on the UKFast website, and the company has told InternetRetailing.net that it is very keen to see a handful of retail ecommerce sites taking part in the project. The closing date for entries is 31 August.
