UK’s first operational fleet-focused insight report is launched

The AA and BT Fleet have collaborated to produce what they claim is the UK’s first operational fleet-focused insight report. The report, which has now been made available for all businesses to access and download, analyses the main issues facing operational fleets today and looks at what the future might hold.
The report surveyed more than 360 operational fleet managers and 320 operational fleet drivers. Sustainability is a key focus with three-quarters of fleet managers saying that they are likely to increase their spend on fuel efficient technologies in the next few years.

The study also found that nearly two-thirds (62%) expect to increase their spend on hybrid and electric vehicles whilst 41% of fleet managers think that autonomous vehicles will make up part of their fleet within the next 10 years.

Half (51%) of fleet managers said that their organisations were using telematics and a similar amount (55%) said that they feel positive about Britain’s decision to leave the EU.

Henry Brace, BT Fleet managing director, said: “In this inaugural report on the trends, factors, challenges and opportunities facing Britain’s fleets today and tomorrow, we’ve aimed to not only uncover the issues impacting operational fleets, but also to present the findings in a way that allows the reader to apply the learnings in their day to day role and equip their fleets for the challenges ahead.” To download the report, visit:
