UPS taps HubBox for US click and collect solution

DeliveryX

UPS has teamed up with a UK software company to launch a new click and collect solution in the US.
London-based HubBox will provide check-out software for the parcel giant’s click and collect service.

The software, which is compatible with all ecommerce platforms, will provide a user-friendly way for customers to order items to UPS’s 9000 access points in the US.

HubBox runs its own click and collect network in the UK, with over 4000 locations available. According to a study by GlobalData, the UK click and collect market will grow 46% over the next five years despite the satisfaction rates lagging those of home delivery, according to a new study.

Sam Jarvis, CEO at HubBox, said: “Together with UPS, we hope to make the convenient delivery solution available to shoppers in the US, the same way it is the UK.

“UPS has an unrivalled access point network, and, together with our software, they are now able to deliver those benefits directly to retailers who want to keep pace with their customer’s expectations.”

UPS access points are used in the delivery company’s alliance with Nespresso which allows customers to return used coffee capsules in pre-paid recycling bags to be salvaged and reused.
