Buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) platform Clearpay has partnered with a raft of retailers including Wilko, Mac, Jo Malone, Tom Ford and the parent company of Urban Outfitters, URBN to now offer flexible payments in-store.

The move follows successful customer uptake at its online checkouts, with recent data revealing BNPL was used in 14% of all online purchases in March 2023, due to the ongoing cost-of-living crisis and rising inflation.

This figure was up from 12% in January this year, the data stated.

“Respecting our customers’ time and hard-earned cash are key drivers for any improvements to our customer experience,” Wilko digital director Ben Exall said.

“Working with Clearpay means we’re able to offer even more choices and easier ways to pay and we’re excited by this new partnership.”

Clearpay UK country manager Rich Bayer added: “We’re delighted to welcome our new retailers on board and to expand our services in-store with partners who already see the benefits of Clearpay online, and we look forward to helping them grow their businesses.”

Alongside, Wilko, Mac, Jo Malone and Tom Ford, Clearpay has also partnered with Online4Baby and OnBuy to offer flexible payment options.

Other retailers include The Cosmetic Company Stores, Le Labo, and makeup brand, Too Faced.
