Bloom & Wild is putting control of its bouquets into the customer’s hands by giving them the option of two-hour delivery.

It says that sending flowers carries a message, and immediate delivery can help that to be heard.

Up till now the online florist has sent its bouquets through next-day delivery but the company is now trialling same-day delivery, powered by the Shutl platform. Customers ordering a delivery can now opt to have their bouquet sent to central, south and west London recipients either within two hours of the order being placed, or at a convenient time that day.

“Sending flowers is a means of conveying emotion,” said Aron Gelbard, chief executive of Bloom & Wild. “A bouquet which arrives within two hours is the ultimate way of expressing those feelings, especially for the on-demand generation.”

He added: “The customer sits at the heart of the Bloom & Wild operation. By giving them greater choice and control over how and when they want express their feelings we can strengthen our existing customer base and attract new clientele. Bloom & Wild has ambitious growth targets and Shutl will play a role in helping enable us to meet these.”
