Weird Fish is working with Next and Zalando to add new sales channels and grow brand awareness.

It will sell its full range of womens and menswear through Next and Zalando’s ecommerce websites. By doing so it aims to reach more than 53m active customers in 93 countries. The fashion brand already sells via Amazon, eBay and OnBuy.

The move comes after a year in which Weird Fish grew its online sales to £21m in 2021, from £12m in 2020. Overall sales grew by 71% to £35.5m over the same period.

Ben Mercier, customer director at Weird Fish, says: “In the constantly changing retail environment, it is our objective to identify new markets and opportunities for growth to continue driving our business forward. We see collaboration as fundamental to our overall success as a business. Partnering with highly established fashion retailers like Next and Zalando is a logical step in building our brand awareness into 2022 and beyond.”

Weird Fish is now freezing its prices for the spring and summer, with the aim of ensuring its products remain affordable.

Weird Fish sells online and through 15 stores, as well as through 300 stockists. It is focused on increasing sustainability, working with green and ethical factories, while using sustainable fabrics and paper packaging. It is a Top500 retailer in RXUK Top500 research, while Next is ranked Leading. Zalando is ranked Top500 in UK research and Top50 in RXEU Top1000 research.
