Data: Amazon voted second-best UK company to work for

Amazon

Amazon has been named the second-best place to work in the UK, according to a new report.

The annual LinkedIn Top Companies list uses data from the platform’s 900 million members to help professionals identify the best companies to grow their careers.

As a result, the ecommerce giant climbed five places in LinkedIn’s Top UK Companies rankings since last year.

“At Amazon, we love working with passionate, customer-obsessed people from all backgrounds who help build the future,” UK country manager John Boumphrey said.

“We’re proud to be ranked second in LinkedIn’s top companies in the UK, thanks to the contributions of thousands of Amazonians across the country, and we’ll keep working to make every day better for our employees, customers, and partners.”

The news comes as the retailer pledged to invest £10 million in upskilling 5,000 of its workers and support the government’s investment programme through Career Choice.

This comes despite Amazon workers having planned further strike action, protesting against an “insulting” 50p-an-hour pay rise.
