Asda has awarded Home Delivery Network (HDN) a long term contract to deliver its non-food parcels.

As part of the contracted service, Asda customers opting for delivery to home will now be able to nominate their delivery date with every purchase online with Saturday delivery included as a standard option.

HDN will also deliver to over 350 stores on a daily basis for Asda’s ‘click and collect’ service, offering 24-hour and 48-hour delivery.

“This new service will provide our customers with the convenience of having products delivered either to store or to home on a day that suits them and their busy lives,” says Douglas Gurr, Asda’s executive director of strategy. “We are delighted that HDN can support our deliver to store service as well as offer a Monday to Saturday home delivery service.”
