Asos has moved to offer same-day delivery service for its London customers.
Shoppers who buy via Asos Instant will be able to get their hands on items ordered before 10am later that day – delivered to all 122 London postcodes between 6pm and 10pm. The service, which is chosen at checkout, costs £12.95 per parcel. Although initially only available in London it will be extended to other UK cities in coming months.
The delivery option is powered by On the dot, part of the CitySprint Group.
CitySprint chief executive Patrick Gallagher said: “This move from ASOS is a recognition of the huge role that convenient delivery plays in acquiring and retaining customers, who expect to be able to shop on their own terms. We are incredibly proud that On the dot’s market leading technology will allow one of the UK’s most innovative retailers to introduce a new element to their customer experience.”
The service adds to a range of Asos delivery options that already includes its Asos Precise delivery option that can be rescheduled or diverted en-route, as well as click and collect options.
On the dot aims to help retailers offer highly convenient deliveries at prices comparable to next-day delivery. It brings technology to CitySprint’s GPS and live-tracking enabled couriers to reach 99% of the UK population from 41 service centres.
