Luxury retailer Avenue 32 has a new ecommerce platform, underpinning its growing online trade in more than 100 countries.
Avenue 32 was founded in 2011 by Roberta Benteler. Today it sells designer clothing, shoes, bags, jewellery and accessories to customers in more than 100 countries around the world.
As a pureplay, Avenue 32 set out to specify a new ecommerce platform that would be able to provide the high end luxury experience that its customers expected, while handling high levels of traffic. The platform had to operate across four regional subdomains in the UK, Europe, America and the rest of the world, while also supporting responsive design for a good mobile user experience. It opted for Demandware , operated as a managed service by Tryzens, because of the scalable nature of the SaaS platform.
“With focus on four key regions, encompassing over 100 countries, it was important that Tryzens and Demandware could provide a solution that was both flexible and could withstand our specific requirements,” said Sinead Berry of Avenue 32. “We needed to have a site that could work globally at high traffic volumes without any issues, and the team from Tryzens were able to deliver a robust platform that could simultaneously provide us with the technical functionality and the luxury look and feel that the Avenue 32 brand has come to represent.”
Berry said the new website meant “we have not only been given a new website that is key to our growth as a global business into the future, but also one that is securely monitored and maintained.”
In addition to using Tryzens’ managed services to underpin its use of the Demandware platform – providing 24-hour proactive maintenance and monitoring of the site – Avenue 32 also implemented the Tryzens TradeState tool so that it can measure onsite analytics in real time and from that understand how the site is trading.
