Doddle and Cancer Research UK are extending their click and collect partnership, which originally launched in eight stores last October. The partnership will now extend to a further 50 Cancer Research UK stores by Christmas with up to 200 due to open by the middle of next year.
The companies claim that more than 17,000 online orders have been collected or returned at Cancer Research UK shops, generating thousands of pounds in revenue for Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work.
The increased footfall from customers collecting and returning parcels has also had a positive impact, driving both an increase in donations and purchases in the participating shops.
Tim Robinson, Doddle CEO, commented: “We’re very proud of our partnership with Cancer Research UK, they’ve been an incredibly engaged and proactive partner developing the service across a wider estate of shops and making it a key part of their retail proposition.”
Simon Ledsham, communities director at Cancer Research UK, said: “Our partnership with Doddle has provided a great opportunity to reach to new demographics of supporters. Since it launched we’ve seen more shoppers, donors and volunteers visiting our shops and supporting our work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. We’re excited to expand this initiative across more stores, attracting new shoppers and donors to help us fund our life-saving research,” he said.
