Charlotte Tilbury Beauty has launched a new US website.

The new site from the celebrity make-up artist who recently did the wedding make-up for Amal Alamuddin, now married to George Clooney, follows the success of the Charlotte Tilbury UK site, launched last year. Both are developed on Magento by digital agency Space 48.

The site features Charlotte Tilbury’s skincare and make-up collection, launched in September 2013. Tilbury’s CV also includes working with designers Tom Ford and Stella McCartney, and doing make-up for celebrities including Kate Moss, Rihanna and Penelope Cruz.

As a result of its ecommerce success in the UK, the brand has now expanded Stateside, with a site that uses local alternative payment methods, currencies and is adapted to comply with US rules and regulations.

Ahead of the UK launch, Space 48 upgraded ERP integration in order to manage inventory locations in different countries, and added a new payment gateway and a US tax module. It also updated homepage and product page designs, testing them across tablet and mobile.

“We’re excited to be working on the US site with Charlotte Tilbury Beauty,” said Jon Woodall, managing director at Space 48. “With the success of the UK site, we know the brand inside out and are confident this will be reflected as we aid expansion into the US.”

Rachel Jones, head of ecommerce at Charlotte Tilbury Beauty, said: “With the UK site so successful and a tight finite deadline for the US launch, we knew that we could rely on Space 48 to deliver on time and in-line with expectations.”
