Godiva has opted for a new commerce platform as it looks to expand internationally, including into the UK.

The luxury Belgian chocolatier already sells through stores in 80 countries and online in the US, Japan, and China, and will now launch in the UK over its new cloud-based platform

Godiva has opted for an eCommera DynamicCommerce solution powered by Demandware. The platform will enable it to introduce features such as shipping a single order to multiple addresses.

Sarah Hawkes, senior strategic merchandise manager at Godiva, said: “We are now confident that we have the right plans and the right technology to deliver our international growth ambitions.”

Andrew McGregor, chief executive of eCommera, said: “We are delighted Godiva has chosen eCommera to help them realise their commerce potential in the UK. The brand is renowned here through their concession stores in Harrods & John Lewis and we look forward to helping them grow their business online”.
