Cleveron launches new compact click and collect robot

Estonia’s Cleveron has launched a new compact edition of its in-store click and collect robot.
The Cleveron 403, which allows customers to drop off and collect parcels without any human assistance, is designed to work in smaller format stores by offering a smaller size and price label.

The smallest version can hold 157 parcels on floor-space of six square metres, using a smart storage system which allocates the parcels inside the machine according to their height.

Couriers can load all parcels from a single user console. Customers can scan their order code or enter a PIN and can receive their parcels in 10 seconds.

Cleveron’s CEO Arno Kütt said: “Our parcel robots are used by the world’s largest retailers who need to hand out hundreds or thousands of online orders in one day.

“Ecommerce is growing and smaller business and logistics companies also need to start automating their parcel handling processes.

“However, they are not yet in a place where our larger solutions would be effective – there are not that many parcels a day or there simply isn’t enough room.

“For example, our pick-up tower is 5 metres high! Cleveron 403 is designed to effectively automate smaller parcel volumes, and it can be installed in small and narrow areas. And robotics-based technology makes the complete parcel handling process quick and convenient.”

In August Cleveron introduced a new click and collect robot which enables customers to collect grocery orders.

The key innovation of the Cleveron 501 is that the robot offers two temperature zones, one for perishables and another for frozen goods. The customer collects their groceries by scanning or entering the order code at the console after which the robot will present their order.
