Online beauty retailer Notino has expanded its retail media capabilities through a partnership with global commerce intelligence platform Criteo, which will provide the technology behind the retailer’s sponsored products, onsite display and video advertising formats.
The move is intended to help brands engage consumers at different stages of the shopping journey, while giving advertisers access to performance data and media insights to refine campaigns. The platform uses Notino’s first-party customer data to deliver more relevant product recommendations and advertising experiences for shoppers.
Targeting European growth
The partnership is designed to help Notino scale across the 27 European markets in which it currently operates, including the UK. “For beauty brands, expanding across Europe has always been a complex challenge, but this partnership transforms it into an unprecedented strategic opportunity,” said Bartosz Kliś, Co-CEO & chief growth officer at Notino.
“By combining Criteo’s technology with our proprietary channels and an ecosystem of 40 million customers, we are redefining how brands build their marketing power. Our vision is absolute: Notino is the definitive gateway to Europe. We provide a single, highly measurable growth engine across 27 markets, empowering brands to seamlessly turn our vast pan-European reach into their own competitive advantage.”
Moving offline
Going forward, the companies plan to extend the collaboration to offsite and to support offline sales data onboarding for omnichannel targeting and measurement.
“Onsite is the first step,” said Šárka Černá, retail media director at Notino. “Our focus now is to make it easy for brands to plan, run, and evaluate their campaigns with us. Together with Criteo, we want to build on this with our partners, with offsite and offline data as the areas we intend to explore next.”
The partnership reflects the continuing evolution of retail media from a sponsored-search channel into a full-funnel marketing platform, combining onsite, offsite and offline data to give brands a more complete view of performance.
