Corporate uniforms pureplay Clothes2Order is investing in its ecommerce operation as it looks to double its capacity over the next six months.

The Manchester-based company supplies personalised uniforms to more than 5,000 businesses including eBay and Google. It is putting £100,000 into upgrading its ecommerce operations and rebranding, at the same time as it invests £150,000 into new printing and embroidery machinery in order to boost its capacity.

The company is part of the £4.2m turnover Quayside Group, alongside sister company www.Polo-Shirts.co.uk.

“At a time when some businesses are tightening their belts,” said managing director Michael Conway, “we are investing significant sums as demand for our services increases sharply, fuelled by our focus on improving the customer experience.”

He added: “We have ambitious but realistic goals in place and this is the start of a very exciting phase in our development.”
