Compuware Gomez adds mobile monitoring tools to its web performance software

Compuware Gomez has added two mobile-specific elements to the latest version of its web performance software to allow retailers to get a better picture of what their mobile customers are doing when they hit their sites.

The first of the two mobile add-ons is mobile real-user monitoring. This lets companies see the actual performance an individual end-user is experiencing when accessing a website from a mobile device. It provides detailed performance analytics and measures performance directly from an user’s browser and mobile device. This allows companies to evaluate real-user performance by device or browser, geography, network and connection speed, as well as the resultant impact on business metrics such as page views, conversions, abandonment and end-user satisfaction.

The second mobile specific tool is Gomez mobile readiness assessment. This provides an automatic assessment of the readiness of a website for mobile visitors by scoring the site against a set of standards and suggesting areas of improvement. This allows companies to rate their mobile application’s capability to run across devices and browsers. Companies can basically throw their URL at the Compuware Gomez test bed and it shows how healthy that particular site is for mobile phones.
