In today’s InternetRetailing newsletter, we’re congratulating the winners in last night’s Internet Retailing Awards. For details of who won which award, read this story. Our plaudits both go to winners and to the shortlisted retailers – we hope you enjoyed the night. Whether you took an award home or not, all of you are companies that are leading the way in keeping UK retail bang up to date, and today we also have a story about how one shortlisted company, John Lewis, is thinking about stores in the context of its omnichannel strategy.
There’s no getting away from the fact that stores and digital remain key to our fast-evolving retail environment, and today we feature a very interesting interview with Jack Smith of New Look in today’s IRC 2015 preview. In it Smith focuses on how the fashion retailer is making it easier for on-the-go customers to buy. Meanwhile, today’s guest comment, from Gavin Ray of ip.access, also looks at the convergence of digital and store retailing. Ray considers how retailers can best use digital technology to bring shoppers to the high street. Following London Fashion Week, we also have detailed analysis from Rakhee Jogia of Rakuten Marketing of how digital marketing came into its own over the course of the week.
Today we’re sharing the in-depth retail review of the B&Q website that features in the latest issue of Internet Retailing magazine. Read here what our team of experienced industry professionals thought of the recently upgraded site.
