Nike and JD Sports join forces for ‘connected’ loyalty programme

Shoppers buying from Nike via JD Sports’ app will be able to buy exclusive products, get early access and win rewards when they link their JD and Nike loyalty memberships. 

The sports fashion retailer announces today that it is the first European retail partner for Nike’s Connected Partnership, which the brand bills as a “transformative integrated loyalty programme”. In time, says Nike, users will gain access to exclusive experiences as well as getting access to member-only footwear ranges. 

Régis Schultz, chief executive of JD Sports, says: “JD and Nike have a long and successful history of working together as strategic partners to bring customers an exceptional product offering and seamless omnichannel experience. This mutually beneficial partnership enhances our strong customer connections through best-in-class retail experiences and early access both in store and online to a select range of additional Nike products.

“This partnership – the first to launch in Europe – amplifies the combined strength of the Nike and JD brands with our shared consumers, by leaning into their behaviour and journeys and creating new, richer and more engaging experiences. It provides further opportunity to inspire the emerging generation of aspirational consumers, who can continue to feel confident that they are being offered the very best of Nike products when shopping at JD.”

The two companies say that the connected partnership will enable them to use the data generated to serve customers in ways that are both convenient and rewarding.

JD Sports is ranked Leading in RXUK Top500 research, while Nike is ranked Top250.
