The Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend was undoubtedly a busy one. Customers flocked online and to the high street, wielding their mobile phones as they bought a wide range of products.
But Cyber Weekend also saw a burst of larger acquisitions among IRUK Top500 retailers, as JD Sports bought Go Outdoors, and Dunelm doubled the size of its internet business by buying WorldStores and its Kiddicare and Achica subsidiaries for £8.5m out of administration.
Today we also report on Topps Tiles as it sets out its profitable strategy of focusing on multichannel convenience and inspiration across channels.
And we have news that the latest IRUK Top500 Performance Dimension Report, this time on The Customer, is now available online.
Today’s guest comment comes from Guy Chiswick of Webloyalty Northern Europe, who considers the importance of online reviews in selling over the internet.
