In today’s InternetRetailing newsletter we’re reporting as retailers from Debenhams to Net-A-Porter give us the latest status update on their multichannel development.

Debenhams says that mobile is driving its online sales growth, while Carpetright is seeing online play an increasingly important role in a sales strategy in which the store remains vital. Meanwhile, the Yoox Net-A-Porter group is developing artificial intelligence solutions and says it is working to move to mobile-only in search of the most profitable and engaged customers.

Some of the science underlying retail decisions is exposed in today’s report from marketing personalisation specialist Qubit as it shows exactly which personalisation tactics have the biggest payback.

Today we’re also delighted to announce that InternetRetailing’s first IREU Top500 Strategy and innovation report is now available online, featuring our research team’s performance-led investigation into ecommerce and multichannel strategies.

Today’s timely guest comment comes from Richard McCrossan of Genesys, who argues that omnichannel is vital in a good customer experience.
