Decathlon is building a new logistics centre in Tilburg, the Netherlands.
The new site will offer 45000 square metres of space at the Kraaiven business area, owned by developer HVBM Vastgoed. It will initially have a staff of 150 employees and will offer office, mezzanine and warehouse space.

Designers Dedato Architects have developed the site to meet the sustainability standards of the BREEAM certification.

Set to open in mid-2020, the site aims to accommodate strong sales growth in the country. The company has seen the number of stores rise from three in 2012 to 20 by mid-November of this year.

Rohan Uijlings, real estate director of Decathlon in the Netherlands: “We want to serve our customers even better and to be able to supply our stores even better.

“Modern consumers no longer want to wait long for their purchases, which is why we are making this important investment that goes hand in hand with our healthy growth in the Netherlands.

“Decathlon feels particularly at home in Brabant with our locations in Best, Breda, Eindhoven and Tilburg. It is great that in addition to our logistical improvement, another 150 people can start working with us.”
