Deliveroo has announced it’s to create 400 high-skilled tech jobs over the next year as it looks to support its rapid growth and invest in industry-leading technology.
The company will be looking to hire across a range of skill sets, including software engineers, product managers, user researchers, designers, and data scientists.
The expanded team will work on a range of projects to support growth, including improving Deliveroo’s on-demand grocery delivery offering which has expanded rapidly during the pandemic.
Deliveroo’s logistics technology is based on intelligent machine learning which allows the company to continually improve the nuances of delivering neighbourhood by neighbourhood. It deploys technology, such as its Frank algorithm, to find the best way of connecting riders, and customers to create a best-in-class logistics service.
Dan Winn, chief technology officer of Deliveroo, said: “Deliveroo is proud to be at the forefront of Britain’s dynamic technology sector and we are excited to be expanding our tech team to help drive Deliveroo’s growth.”
