DFS appoints Boots man Tim Stacey in new online role

DFS has appointed Tim Stacey as its online and business development director – a newly created role that will see the soft furnishings retailer boost its multichannel activities. Stacey was formerly at Boots as UK director of healthcare services and solutions. During his 12 years at Boots, Stacey also had the role of director of multichannel.

He led a growth-driving development programme with included re-platforming Boots.com and launching the health and wellbeing website BootsWebMD.com.

At DFS Stacey will report directly to chief executive Ian Filby in the newly created role, and will focus on developing DFS’ online business.

Filby said: “We are delighted to welcome someone of Tim’s calibre to DFS and are excited to work with him as we look to develop our multi-channel offering, in particular our online proposition.”
