DHL launches parcel network in Switzerland

DHL has formed DHL Parcel (Switzerland), a newly formed company that has been set up to create the company’s own parcel network within Switzerland.
DHL has set up a network of DHL ServicePoints with local partners to deliver what it claims is a “future-oriented and tailor-made logistics service”. It says the service will offer customer-friendly opening hours at DHL ServicePoints, short delivery times, Saturday delivery and ease of handling.

The DHL ServicePoints include a selection of outlets from petrol stations to pharmacies and retailers that can act as dispatch and delivery points for customers and their parcels.

“An essential part of our strategy is to be represented in the key European markets,” said Achim Dünnwald, CEO DHL Parcel Europe. “Market entry into Switzerland is another important milestone in this respect. A total of 27 countries (including Switzerland) now belong to the DHL Parcel Europe network.”
