DHL partners with PayPoint to add 500 click and collect locations

DHL has teamed up with a UK-wide click and collect operator to expand its collection and returns offering to customers.
The shipping giant is working with PayPoint to add 500 new pick-up and drop-off locations in convenience stores across the country. The service will add a further 3000 points by the end of the year.

PayPoint will support DHL’s ServicePoint, which allows consumers to either collect or return parcels.

The ServicePoint offering previously used the Pass My Parcel network, formerly owned by Smiths News before DHL acquired it. Retailers who are operating Pass My Parcel locations will have the option to opt into this new PayPoint scheme if they aren’t already part of the network.

According to a press release, 90% of UK consumers are within 10 minutes of a PayPoint store.

In the future, DHL Parcel plans to allow consumers to send parcels through the network.

Peter Fuller, CEO DHL Parcel UK, says: “Our alliance with PayPoint gives us access to the largest click and collect network in the UK. This network allows us to offer consumers even more convenience and we hope the partnership will allow us to introduce even more parcel services in the future.”

Patrick Headon, CEO, PayPoint adds: “DHL is one of the leading logistics companies and working alongside PayPoint Collect+, the largest click and collect network in the UK, will offer more convenience to customers and bring online shoppers into store.

“This is one of the new partnerships announced earlier this year, bringing new footfall and benefits for retailers and shoppers alike.”
