Editorial: Views and news from the world of edelivery

DeliveryX

This week we have an opinion piece special for eDelivery.net with a number of guest columns from industry experts, as well as the latest news from the industry. In the first of these we look at life post Brexit.
Many retailers will still be worrying about the implications of Brexit and what will happen after the split. But instead of worrying Dan Ennor, commercial director at Global Freight Solutions, says that businesses should be embracing the opportunity to grow outside of the EU. However delivery needs to be treated as an integral component to growth, he says.

When it comes to delivery – and particularly last-mile delivery – then the customer experience is more important than ever. In his opinion piece Anthony Gavin, regional director EMEA at Narvar, looks at some of the measures that retailers are taking as they seek to enhance the final touch experience for their customers in delivery.

But retailers need to improve their standards at the other end of the process too – enhancing what they do with returns. In his piece Graham Best, CEO of ReBOUND, offers his tips on how to succeed with modern returners.

Meanwhile in news Marks & Spencer revealed the latest changes needed to its supply chain infrastructure as it aims to revamp the business and accelerate its transformation plans whilst Next revealed to customers that it is to introduce a £1 levy on courier returns or returns made through Hermes Parcel Shops from early June.
