The first peak of Christmas trading is almost upon us, and the air is thick with commentators predicting that this year Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and indeed, Christmas spending will be bigger than ever as the wider economy continues to strengthen.

Today we also report on AO World as it says its German launch gives it confidence for the future, on a new partnership between Gap and Zalando, on how Screwfix' multichannel services are helping boost its sales, and on how Jacques Vert Group has brought its brands together to improve customers' experience.
