Retailers brace for 'biggest ever' Black Friday

Linked InTwitterFacebookeCard
The first peak of Christmas trading is almost upon us, and the air is thick with commentators predicting that this year Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and indeed, Christmas spending will be bigger than ever as the wider economy continues to strengthen.

That makes Argos' launch today of its smallest-ever store, at Cannon Street tube station, a very timely one, since it's all part of a growing trend to give shoppers the chance to pick up their purchases at ever more convenient points on their commute.

Today we also report on AO World as it says its German launch gives it confidence for the future, on a new partnership between Gap and Zalando, on how Screwfix' multichannel services are helping boost its sales, and on how Jacques Vert Group has brought its brands together to improve customers' experience.
