We think that interesting trends can be seen in how shoppers buy at a time when transaction levels are higher than usual, and today we've pulled out five that caught our attention over the period.
That Black Friday and Cyber Week more generally are a good time to consider the evolution of online shopping seems clear. BRC-KPMG figures out today suggest
that more people turned to the internet to buy over the course of the peak shopping week, with a record proportion of retail sales taking place online during the month.
Today we also report on innovation from Amazon, as it launches
its Amazon Go prototype till-less store, and on expansion
at fast fashion retailer Quiz.
