Europe’s Top500 multichannel retailers? Exclusive preview at IRX (25 March)

With the IRUK Top500 report now shared, our Research team is turning its attention to Europe. Who are the Top500 ecommerce and multichannel retailers? This is our IREU index.

At 4.15pm on 25 March (day 1 of IRX,, we will unveil our approach to the IREU.

The purpose of the session is to share our initial research as well as our assessment approach and gain the views of the industry on how to balance the many views.

We are taking a customer-centred approach, and looking at retailers as they do: fascias in their own country (rather than taking a corporate view of the size of the conglomerate operating across different markets). What visibility is there? How often are retailers searched for? what’s their turnover, eCommerce penetration, store footprint…?

We have collected this data and on 25 March we’ll share these volumetrics which together comprise the ‘Footprint’ – an indicator of the size or heft of the retailers vying to be hailed as ‘Elite’ in Europe.

We will then consider with our research team and invited guests the perspectives to take on ‘Performance’ and how we’ll move from size alone to a view on ‘RetailCraft’ – the quality and capability of the retailer.
