Evri is opening a new depot in Plymouth which will create more than 50 new jobs.
The new site will open in July 2022 on the Parkway Industrial estate and at 60,000 sq ft is almost double the size of the existing depot nearby which has been managed by a third-party contractor.
Evri said its investment and the decision to move the operation in-house will increase capacity fivefold and provide increased control over service levels.
Ethan Treble-Westlake, depot manager at the new Plymouth site, said: “At our new depot we will be able to handle up to 480,000 parcels each week at peak times and provide a strong delivery service for the local community and a good working environment for our people.”
