In today’s InternetRetailing newsletter, we’re looking at how retailers from Amazon to House of Fraser and Spreadshirt are combining multichannel and international strategies to strong effect.
For all three, international markets are a key to enabling growth, and go hand in hand with multichannel in order to bring shoppers the kind of convenience that they want to see. That’s borne out by figures from the latest BRC-Google online monitor that shows overseas shoppers taking an interest in British brands both from their desktops and via their smartphones.
By way, perhaps of background, we also look at how visitors to the next InternetRetailing Expo will be able to learn more about the ins and outs of achieving multichannel success at the From Clicks to Bricks conference, which we preview today.
Today’s guest comment comes from Hugh Fletcher at Salmon, who considers the potential effect of multichannel shopping and the Internet of Things on parents and, more widely, on looking after baby.
Today we’re also offering retailers the chance to win a free pass to Retail without Borders, the marketplace conference and exhibition, being held at London’s QEII Centre on March 23. Tweet @etail or email editor@internetretailing.net and tell us why you’d like to go to put your name in the hat.
