Hotel Chocolat head of consumer marketing, Amy Harman, and Hobbycraft’s head of digital marketing, Bonnie Jackson, have been confirmed to speak at SubX World, a new one-day event for the D2C subscriptions industry.
The event, which takes place in London on 18 May 2023, will explore how subscriptions businesses have entered and influenced the digital D2C market and how retailers and media companies are introducing, adapting and growing subscriptions services.
Alongside the two marketing bosses, other speakers include Gousto’s head of growth Catherine David, chief commercial and financial officer of Freddie’s Flowers, Nick Anderdon, Pret-A-Manger’s global head of propositions Ed Ferguson and Charlotte Fairbairn, My Wardrobe HQ’s CCO/COO.
The new one-day-event will feature keynotes, case studies and panel discussions from leading subscriptions-based businesses, from a wide-range of sectors.
“SubX World is not just another event, for the sake of an event. D2C subscriptions are a subject area in which editors at InternetRetailing have picked up as being underserved in the market,” InternetRetailing vice president of events, Shane Ahari-White said.
“It is a model which can impact retail positively amid tighter margins. Having industry heavyweights give ‘exclusive’ case studies like Pret, Gousto & Hotel Chocolat will be very insightful for executives to learn from, but equally exciting for me is the agile SMEs like Cocoon, Craft Gin Club & Freddie’s Flowers to see how they are disrupting the industry.”
He added: “We want to create a close community for ideation and problem-solving with the events we run, I believe SubX World will deliver just that in the D2C subscriptions space.”
SubX World 2023 is in partnership with automated tax compliance software company, Avalara, fintech platform, Adyen and creative ecommerce agency Nest.
Other sponsors include online payments services provider, Worldline, subscription management solution, Recharge and technology company Stripe.
