Online imaging specialist SpinMe has doubled its retailer customer base in one year, following the industry’s growing use of 360-degree spin technology that allows consumers to view a product from many different angles on one image.

SpinMe now looks after 50 retailers, including Dixons, Wiggle and Schuh. It provides photographic software, hardware, in-house studio space and off-site studio set-up and training to online retailers.

Staff numbers at SpinMe have tripled over the same period, and the company is currently building in-house photographic studios for international retail clients in Australia, South America, the Far East and Europe

“Retailers’ use of specialist imagery is on the rise – giving the customer complete control of viewing a product from every angle and zooming in on fine detail increases satisfaction and reduces returns,” said David Brint, marketing director at SpinMe. “As a result, SpinMe is growing at a rapid pace and we are also on course to triple our turnover this financial year.”

In February, online sports retailer Wiggle announced it planned to roll out 360-degree spin imaging across its entire product range after seeing a significant uplift in sales of items featuring the photography.

Dixons Retail recently worked with SpinMe to relaunch its own-brand Advent Computers website, giving customers a rich-content experience that brings each product to life with the use of 360-degree spin and 3D imagery.

SpinMe is an imaging specialist that provides 360 and 3D spin photographic services to online retailers. It offers product photography via its studio in Cheltenham, on-site studio set-up with training and support as well as unique hardware and software to create 360 spin images for websites. SpinMe helps retailers to display merchandise in the most sophisticated way possible – allowing consumers to view a product from many different angles in one image, stop at any point and zoom in on a chosen feature. SpinMe improves user experience, encouraging sales and customer confidence. Clients include Selfridges, Wiggle, Dixons, Halfords, Schuh and Home Depot.
