InPost reported record parcel volumes in its Q4 and full-year 2025 update, highlighting the shift to out-of-home and locker-based delivery across Europe, especially in the UK.

In Q4 2025, InPost handled a record 417.6 million parcels, a 30% year-on-year increase. On its busiest day during the festive peak, it processed a whopping 15 million parcels – demonstrating the resilience and efficiency of its operations.

The UK was a key driver of this growth. InPost delivered 92.6 million parcels in the UK in Q4, more than tripling year-on-year volumes, supported by the integration of Yodel. In January, the company resumed its One Network Project to operate as a single, integrated business and achieve greater operational and financial efficiency.

2025 was a milestone year for InPost, during which it processed 1.4 billion parcels –  a 25% year-on-year increase. Its out-of-home network grew to 94,500 locations across Europe, with lockers making up 65% of all points. The group added 14,200 automated parcel machines (APMs), ending the year with over 61,000 APM locations, the largest locker network in Europe.

UK parcel volumes reached 262.1 million for the year, nearly tripling from 2024. InPost closed 2025 with over 19,200 out-of-home points nationwide, including 13,721 lockers, reinforcing its position as the UK’s leading locker-based delivery provider. Higher network density reduced utilisation below 90%, allowing capacity for further growth.

What it means for UK online retailers

For UK ecommerce retailers, these results highlight the rapid shift in consumer demand toward flexible, out-of-home delivery options. InPost’s scale now provides retailers with nationwide locker coverage and the capacity to manage peak periods, addressing challenges that have affected home delivery networks.

The integration of Yodel and the transition to a single UK network indicate improved reliability, faster scaling, and potentially more competitive pricing for merchants. As locker capacity grows and utilisation stabilises, retailers can more easily offer sustainable, convenient delivery options without compromising speed or peak-season resilience.

With significant investment and triple-digit volume growth in the UK, lockers are no longer a niche service. For many online retailers in 2026, they are becoming a core element of the delivery offering and a key customer expectation.
