Quiz to sell via Zalando as it widens its international reach
Quiz is to sell its fast fashion womenswear via Zalando in a move that makes the German platform its biggest international online partner to date.

The omnichannel brand says the move will help it to expand its international presence and its online offering. Quiz will sell a core selection of fashion, including eveningwear, occasion wear and casual ware, through the Zalando site, handling dispatch itself from its Glasgow distribution centre. At first Quiz products will be available through Zalando's German site, but over time it will also sell via the UK and French websites.

Sheraz Ramzan, business development director of Quiz, said: “Zalando is a key strategic partner as we look to expand our reach and deliver a great brand experience to customers in these markets. We are seeing fantastic growth online and our partnership with Zalando further reinforces our plans to expand our international presence and make our offering more accessible to women all over the world.

“Quiz will continue to expand its online capabilities with ongoing investment in our own sites as well as actively seek mutually beneficial partnerships.”

The move comes after a year in which Quiz saw online sales grow by 33%, and earnings by 18% to £7.1m. The retailer trades in more than 20 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Asia through a model that includes wholesale, concessions and franchising.

Carsten Keller, VP direct-to-consumer at Zalando, said: “Zalando is constantly on the lookout for new brand partners and we are very happy that Quiz is now available via the Partner Programme for our consumers in Germany. Through the Partner Programme, brands and retailers can integrate their own ecommerce stock into the Zalando fashion store. Quiz brings a fast fashion offering to our consumers with eveningwear and the latest trends at good value. By connecting their stock to our platform, we complement and enhance our assortment. Consumers get the chance to buy fashion items at Zalando that might not have been available in their country beforehand.”

Zalando boasts more than 200m visits a month, more than 20m active customers, about 200,000 products from more than 1,500 brands.
