Videos of the conference presentations made at Internet Retailing 09 on 13 October are now available to view online on the post-event website.
More than 1,100 delegates and visitors attended this year’s event. “Yet again, the Internet Retailing Conference exceeded all expectations,” says Mark Pigou, MD of Screen Events, which organises the event. “We have received fantastic feedback from speakers, delegates and exhibitors alike with a number of repeat and new bookings for next year’s event.”
“The speaker line-up offered some of the industry’s most inspirational speakers, and the keynote session with Peter Fitzgerald, head of retail for Google UK; Robin Terrell, managing director at John Lewis Direct, and Jane Judd, senior manager of customer loyalty at Zappos.com, proved extremely popular,” he added. “In fact, on several occasions throughout the day there was standing room only.”
“This is the one UK-based ecommerce event I make sure I attend each year,” says John Lewis Direct MD Robin Terrell. “It always offers a great opportunity to hear about and discuss the issues that are current and often share across the whole industry.”
“This has been an extremely useful conference offering up valuable insight into the multi-channel retailing industry, I will definitely attend again next year,” added Liam Jarra, a business analyst at Marks and Spencer.
“The IR team worked really hard at pre-show marketing as our room was full of quality attendees,” commented Mike Anderson, managing director of WMpS, who ran a seminar at the event. “I can’t speak highly enough of the venue, the Novotel was very impressive and was the perfect site for the day. We also did a post-show marketing email out with IR and have received many responses for large blue chip retailers following it, so yes, we are very pleased with the event this year and will have no hesitation doing it again in 2010.”
Delegates who attended the conference receive complimentary access to all the presentations featured on the site. And, if you weren’t able to attend the event in person or didn’t make it into the conference rooms, you can purchase full access to the post-show website for just £95.
