Mobile certainly looks set to lead the way this Christmas for fashion shopping site ShopStyle.co.uk – its free iPhone app has seen a 920% increase in use by those that have downloaded it over this time last year and 200% increase compared to this time last month.

ShopStyle.co.uk has also seen a 22% increase in iPhone downloads year-on-year. With this year’s launch of the iPad, iPhone 4 and with sales predicted to continue to grow in 2011, ShopStyle.co.uk expects download and session figures to continue to increase beyond the Christmas period and well into 2011.

Four percent of all click-through to ShopStyle.co.uk now comes from its mobile applications on iPhone and iPad, as fashion hungry consumers look for bargains among 2000 fashion retailers and brands under one digital roof.

The apps which enable users to filter items by brand, store, price, size and even sale means that the mobile user can quickly see what’s available online, before buying it later at their computer or even there and then via their phone.

Shannon Edwards, Director ShopStyle Europe, says: “Mobile has had a big and very positive impact on our UK business. Our technology has been really well received by both the fashion industry and our users alike and it’s no wonder. Being able to use those five minutes on the bus to do a spot of Christmas shopping at all your favourite stores is a great use of time in our busy lives.”
