Visitor registration is now open for this year’s Internet Retailing Expo (IRX 2013).

The third annual event brings together retailers, suppliers and professionals from across the online and multichannel industries. Last year more than 3,000 people visited the free-to-attend event, looking to meet new or existing suppliers, to network with industry colleagues, and to find out about new products and services.

This year IRX 2013 will be held at Birmingham’s NEC on March 20 and 21 and around 5,000 people are expected to attend.
Visitor pre-registration is currently 43% up year on year and organisers say they are “very bullish” about hitting targets.

Some 150 suppliers will be exhibiting, including sponsors WorldPay, Rich Relevance, PayPal, Kount and Intershop, showing off some of the latest developments in retailing.

A key draw at IRX 2013 will be the highly-regarded learning programme. This year visitors will hear from both respected retailers and industry experts speaking in six conferences and 12 hands-on practical workshops. The conferences cover subjects from Internet Retailing In-Store, International and Cross-border and SoLoMo (Social, Local, Mobile), to The Customer Journey, Online Merchandising and Selling and Operations and Logistics.

Confirmed speakers already include Sarah McVittie, chief executive of Dressipi.com, Sarah Baillie, mobile commerce manager at Debenhams, Julia Monro, social media manager at Marks & Spencer, Joanna Robb, head of multichannel at B&Q, Ali Holmes, global ecommerce manager at Vodafone and Matthew Curry, head of ecommerce at Lovehoney.

Ian Jindal, Internet Retailing editor-in-chief, said: “IRX 2013 offers a full view of the multichannel ecosystem. It has the best. We have expert vendors covering all aspects of multichannel, from marketing to merchandising and beyond. We have experienced retailers sharing their insights across six conference streams, as well as hands-on learning in the workshops and the experience of the show floor and the innovation pavilion.

“This is a once-a-year brain and commercial ‘hit’ to propel your multichannel business forward.”
