Kount brings its fraud solution to Europe

Online fraud prevention specialist Kount is launching in Europe.

The move comes after US-based Kount has seen fast growth in its home market. The company launched in 2007 and last year more than doubled its customer base, compared to the previous five years.

Now fast growth in the European market has spurred Kount to bring its flagship product, Kount Complete, an all-in-one fraud and risk management solution for online businesses of all sizes, to this side of the Atlantic.

“2012 saw a 16% increase in ecommerce across Europe, according to Visa, which will come hand-in-hand with an increased risk of cyber-crime and fraud,” said Don Bush, Kount’s vice president of marketing.

“Kount specialises in fraud detection and prevention for the online environment which by its very definition is global in nature.

“Last year we increased our customer base by 300% outside the USA and we feel now is the time to really start talking about our products to a global audience as there is a clear demand.”

Kount will be exhibiting at 35 trade shows this year, including the Internet Retailing Expo (IRX 2013) at the NEC in Birmingham. The company says it will soon announce a big UK client win.
